Lakones is a lovely typical Corfiot village with one thin road running through the middle of it. Walking through the traditional road village you can see houses of the 18th and 19th centuries, that they surely have some kind of charm. Among the houses you will find churches and traditional coffee shops. You may even see women wearing the traditional Greek dress here.

The village offers one of the best views on the island with Palekatritsa well below, because from Lakones, all the scenery in its majesty can be viewed. There you can admire the view over the bay of Paleokastritsa and relax in one of the picturesque coffee shops.
