The month of May has started off well as the island welcomes back its tourists.

To date this month there has been 0.5 mm of rain and a maximum temperature of 25.5c on the 10th of May in Corfu Town.

The weather seems to have gone downhill since the last post.

There have been some very warm sunny days but plenty of the stuff that makes Corfu the "Green Island". There has been 2.46 inches of rain so far this month with 0.44 inches today. Not just rain, thunder storms have featured in the weather.

The month has got of with a good start. All figures quoted are from stats of thee Weather station located just outside Corfu Town.

There has been just 1mm of rain so far this month, none for the past 15 days.  There has been plenty of SUN and temperatures have peaked at 34c. Ideal weather for lounging on the beach or sitting under an umbrella sipping a cool drink just watching the world go by.

It is quiet possible that weather conditions have been similar to those experienced in Sinerades. This is a report from another Bliss forum from a local weather reporter.

Yammaas.  Colin.

Well what a different two days weather we have had!!!

Wednesday - As I said in my previous post the sky was heavy with rain. But we had the storm   to end all storms!! It started about 10.30am and was rolling round for at least 2 hours. The rain  was torrential, and the storm extremely violent. Winter had arrived!!

Thursday - It was like living on a different island, summer came back. Clear blue sky, beautiful hot sunshine.

Friday - Today it's Autumn!! Over towards Corfu Town and the East it's    overcast and the clouds look heavy with rain. Towards the North and West the clouds are clearing, the sky blue and sun bright. The temperature  is around 20 C

We'll see what tomorrow brings!!! Hopefully summer again!!
