Each and every resort has it's good and bad places to stay.

What we want is good reports on the forum. We have to be carefull for legal reasons giving NEGATIVE REPORTS. If for any reason you have a problem, PM admin and they will try and help.

Most gripes are from people paying 1 star prices expecting 5 star service. You get what you pay for. You may pay low prices, but if you are prepared to intregate with the local community you will get far more out of your holiday than you expected.

I believe negative comments are much more valuable than positive ones.
These are those which should give people the initiative for improving their businesses.
This is how Paleokastritsa will improve, not by simply not saying anything and keeping it on the low.
On the other hand, I wonder how would they the admin team help out someone that has had a bad holiday
because they were not happy with the accommodation, give them their money back or something?
The idea of this site is "book direct with the property owners", it aint a tour operator service.

I am got upset by the above post because the agni.gr policy is trying to be enforced on this site as well!
No freedom of speech!

TommiZi,

I understand where you are comming from, in the past things have not worked out the way I wished. I took my gripe to the company concerned.

There is no wish to gag members expressing their views. The site has to be so carefull because views that members post could have severe legal implications. A post put on a Corfu forum, because Admin did not spot it quickly enough and delete it, cost the site owner a lot of money.

If a member makes a post and you want to make it known that you have an adverse view, there is alwaya the PM system. This means that it does not appear on the forum and you can pass on information. This information holds good for all members. This is a plea from a moderator for moderation.

Tony and I have stayed at both Natasha Spiros and at Elena Apartments, next door to the Mermaid.  We enjoyed the latter, particularly, as the accommodation was so spacious and clean and near a pool!

I see that this topic is nearly agonising... Why?

I am a fan of Paleokastritsa, despite peebly beaches and cold water... Talking about acommodation, I would recommend my last experience there, Yannis Villa, a three bedroom small villa on the beach, with private garden and covered terrace. This year they are changing the setting of the building, tranforming in a two bedroom and a livingroom villa. I will try it again this June hopefully I will come back with some nice posts about.

This was my first time staying in Paleo but I would highly reccommend the Maria Studios with Faros Pool Bar.The Studios are clean and have everyhing you need for a self catering holiday. This is a family run business and run very well and there is always someone there should you need anything.I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would definetly go back.
